Tips
Choosing your DJ
These days, it seems that anyone with two speakers, an amplifier and a laptop can play music, but can they DJ? Often not! DJing involves so much more than setting up the equipment and having a selection of music! It needs intuition, an ability to read the crowd, problem solving skills, the ability to transition seemlessly through different genre's and tempo's of music, and an, almost, sixth sense of what the crowd will respond to and enjoy. That is what 15 years of experience gets you.
I am also aware of all details of the function, from my own role, to other roles, and have a keen eye for detail, so will ensure candles are lit and the lights are correctly dimmed, where others may overlook these finer details. It is also important to remember that there is a huge difference between a Club DJ and a Wedding DJ, DJing at a wedding is a specialist form of DJing, as is club DJing, the two styles are not the same at all. We have all attended weddings that are either made or broken by the music, choose to make your wedding not only memorable, but remembered! Choose Sounds Unique.
On the day I prefer to work primarily with the Master of Ceremonies, as this allows for the smooth running of events, from speeches, to dinner, to cutting the cake, throwing the garter and the first dance.
